Today starts the American Heart Association 2026 Go Red campaign. This year, I am proud to be on team Tara, my beautiful friend who was selected to be a Woman of Impact 2026 for South Florida.
Last year, after battling symptoms of Aortic Stenosis since birth, she underwent full Aortic Valve Replacement. She has fully recovered from the surgery and continues to amaze me with her bravery, her dedication to herself and others, and her compassion to share her story with other women!
Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women. As a woman with a family history of heart disease, this campaign is near and dear to me HEART for so many reasons.
Together, we can work to help more women understand their own heart health, as well as help support others fighting heart disease.
My why is my friend Tara. My why is my Dad. My why is my brother. My why is all the women out there that need that love and support.
