My work with the American Heart Association centers on community impact, prevention, and empowerment — especially through the Go Red for Women campaign, which raises awareness about cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death among women.
Far too many women underestimate their risk, and community education is one of the most powerful tools we have to change outcomes. I am committed to helping women and families understand risk factors, recognize warning signs, and take practical steps toward heart-healthy living.
For more than 18 years, I have served as a CPR instructor, equipping hundreds of community members with lifesaving skills and the confidence to act in emergencies.
My dedication to this work is deeply personal and through experience has strengthened my mission to expand access to CPR knowledge and emergency preparedness across the community.
Through outreach, instruction, and advocacy, I focus on turning awareness into action — ensuring more people are trained, more families are prepared, and more lives can be saved.
It's not just about wearing red. It's not just about sharing heart health facts. It's about our community connecting and committing to stand together against a great health threat.
