I nominated my student, Lucy Ajebe, a junior at Kings High School, for the American Heart Association's Teen of Impact campaign this year! Lucy's goal is to help educate the King's community and women everywhere about the importance of heart health. Knowing that women are at a higher risk for heart related diseases drives her to spread awareness. Lucy's personal connection to this cause runs even deeper. Lucy said, "I have a cousin who suffered a cardiac arrest and received life-saving CPR. This experience has further fueled my commitment to raising awareness and supporting this cause. By raising funds for the American Heart Association and educating others, I hope to inspire healthier choices and create lasting change in the lives of many. Heart disease can affect anyone, but together, we can help change that."
