I have joined Caroline (CK) Keating’s Woman of Impact team, fundraising on behalf of the American Heart Association.
Although CK and I have worked together for years, it wasn’t until 2024 that we truly became friends. It started with a meeting to learn more about the Category Manager role and how I, as a pricing analyst, could better support our Category Managers. The meeting itself was incredibly informative. Not only did I accomplish what I set out to do, but she and I ended up talking for 45 minutes about who she is outside of work. I’ll admit—I was intimidated at first. At the time, she had just been named a Top Woman in Grocery (TWIG) and one of Cincinnati Business Courier’s 40 Under 40.
And then she shared her Heart Story. Everything changed.
Her story is powerful, moving, and a reminder of how much someone can overcome.
