I'm proud to support my friend Jessie Cannizzaro with her Women of Impact campaign to support awareness and research through the American Heart Association!
Cardiovascular disease is still the No. 1 killer of men and women. But in the past decade, heart disease became more than “words” to me. About a decade ago, my father-in-law suffered a heart attack; years later, my step-father-in-law collapsed on my driveway when they visited for the holidays – also from a heart attack. And during COVID, my dad survived a heart attack.
More recently, one of my dearest friends-- who is near my age-- went to the emergency department because she thought she was experiencing severe heartburn. She was suffering from a “widow maker” and luckily is here today to tell her story.
The reality is that heart health impacts all of us; yet people often overlook symptoms until it is too late. The American Heart Association Go Red for Women & Woman of Impact campaign is working to change that.
Please support my campaign for “Team Jessie”! A gift of any size can help us continue to raise awareness and support research (and save lives)! Click the Donate button to join me!
Thank you!
