I'm proud to support my friend Jessie Cannizzaro with her Women of Impact campaign to support the American Heart Association!
Cardiovascular disease is still the No. 1 killer of men and women. But in the past decade, heart disease became more than “words” to me. About a decade ago, my father-in-law suffered a heart attack; years later, my step-father-in-law collapsed on my driveway when they visited for the holidays – also from a heart attack. And during COVID, my dad survived a heart attack.
More recently, my friend Linda went into the ED after what she thought was indigestion. She was suffering from a “widow maker” and is here today to tell her story.
So many of us pass off signs of heart complications as something else. The reality is that heart health impacts everyone, yet it may not always be in the forefront of our day-to-day work. The American Heart Association Go Red for Women & Woman of Impact campaign is working to change that.
The time is now. Please support my campaign, support Jessie in this campaign, and help make a difference in the research, awareness and tools to help lower our risk for heart disease and complications. Click the Donate button to join me!
Thank you!
