Hello My name is Josie Cowans, I'm one of Addison's close friends and one of her team members. Being Addison's friend is such a blessing and privilege to have. Learning about her heart history really sparked a part in my heart to being more empathetic towards others and better learn about heart problems. My older brothers' dad passed away new year's eve in 2020 due to heart failure. When Brian was 27 he suffered a heart attack, doctors didn't quite understand why this happened and said it may just have been something random because of his low age and no prior history, after that heart attack the right side of his heart died and was give a pace maker. Around 38 he had to undergo open heart surgery called quadruple bypass. At 43 he had a very fatal heart attack and was unable to be helped due to no one being around. Doctors found out the cause of the heart attack was Ventricular arrhythmia.
