I am proud to stand with a community of passionate individuals dedicated to transforming the future of women’s health.
Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women, and that’s why I’ve joined the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement and the Woman of Impact campaign. This cause is deeply personal to me.
As a research healthcare worker at Primary Children’s Hospital, a living kidney donor and someone who has always been passionate about women’s health, I’ve seen firsthand how critical it is to address inequities in healthcare. Women have been left out of research, testing, treatment, and funding for far too long—underrepresented, undertreated, and undercounted. But it doesn’t have to stay this way.
This mission hits even closer to home because of my best friend Fallon. Fallon grew up with a heart condition, and now her beautiful daughter is facing the same challenge. Fallon’s daughter underwent open-heart surgery at the same hospital where I work—a powerful reminder to me of why this work is so important. It’s about supporting women and girls, across every age, stage, and season of life.
Together, we can fight for change. We can demand equitable access to care and treatments, engage more women in research, and create health solutions tailored to women’s unique needs. It’s not just about wearing red or sharing heart health facts, it’s about uniting as women to stand together against our greatest health threat.
This campaign is my chance to make an impact for Fallon, her daughter, and the countless women and families affected by heart disease. The time is now. Are you with me?
