This is my tenth year of dedicating myself to raising funds and awareness for the AHA, an organization that means so much to me and my family.
Heart disease and stroke have deeply impacted my loved ones: both of my paternal grandparents passed away from heart attacks, and my maternal grandfather is alive today thanks to 17 stents and the lifesaving work of the AHA. My maternal grandmother survived a stroke, and both of my aunt and uncle have undergone open-heart surgeries, with my uncle also receiving a heart transplant.
These personal experiences have driven my passion for advocating heart disease awareness, especially as it remains the leading cause of death for women. Your generous support will help continue vital research and education to save lives like those of my family members.
