Hi! My name is Teddy Furst, and I’m participating in the American Heart Association’s Teen of Impact campaign as part of a small team committed to making a difference.
Heart disease is THE leading cause of death in the United States, responsible for 1 in every 5 deaths each year. Nearly half of all U.S. adults live with some form of cardiovascular disease, and many of the risk factors start early. What makes this issue especially important is that much of heart disease is preventable through education, research, and early intervention.
Through this campaign, my team and I are raising funds to support the American Heart Association’s work in life-saving research, heart health education, and prevention programs that help protect millions of lives.
