Participating on Matty D's Leaders of Impact team is an honor and personally important to me because I've seen firsthand the debilitating effects that heart disease and stroke have on our friends and family.
My father, Meir (OBM), was directly impacted by heart disease. After many years of monitoring his condition, he underwent a valve replacement that fortunately extended his quality of life. Later in his years he suffered a major stroke that nearly ended his life. We were blessed with his recovery and many more precious years together. Unfortunately, our family has also known the deep challenges of vascular illness through other relatives and close friends, including my great uncle, Arnold Spanier, who suffered a debilitating stroke in midlife.
You have an opportunity to help support my efforts and shape the health of our community, as well as support the innovative research and bold initiatives of the American Heart Association that save and improve lives.
