I’m deeply committed to supporting this campaign because I believe in the power of early detection and the importance of helping others feel empowered to see their physicians. For a long time, I neglected my own well-being. I felt great, so I skipped physicals and checkups—until my mom, who was the angel in my ear, gently reminded me to take care of myself. Her voice prompted me to finally schedule a physical.
I’m incredibly grateful I did. That visit led to the diagnosis of an autoimmune disease that, if left untreated, could have significantly shortened my life. Early detection truly changed everything.
Heart disease also runs in my family. Most recently, my father suffered a mini-stroke that has impacted him cognitively. Thankfully, due to his proactive care—including medication and a pacemaker—the damage was minimized. His experience further reinforced how critical it is to stay ahead of potential health issues.
This cause is deeply personal. I believe in the urgent need to educate more people, raise vital funds, and continue life-saving research. Together, we can help others live longer, healthier lives by encouraging proactive care and preventing heart disease before it’s too late.
Are you with me in making a real impact on the health of our community? Fundraising is open from September 18th at 9:00 am until November 5th at 9:00 pm.
