As someone who has first-hand family experience with the importance of heart health, I am proud to join the American Heart Association in an effort to help save and improve countless lives. Not only do I come from a family where heart research and medicine saved the lives of people I love dearly, but I also come from an area in rural Alabama where many families struggle with accessing healthy foods and consistent, reliable medical care, causing serious detriment to their long-term health. So, serving in the Leaders of Impact Campaign is personal for me.
Now, YOU have the opportunity to help the American Heart Association do amazing things, including providing access to health services for thousands of in-need people, opening heart-healthy food pantries in much-needed areas, and conducting world-class, innovative research.
