A Mother's Story
I'm Laura's mom, and I'm here today because a bystander knew CPR.
Several years ago, I suffered a massive heart attack. In those critical minutes before paramedics arrived, a bystander stepped in and performed CPR. That act kept me alive long enough to receive the care I needed. Because of that moment, I have been able to watch my daughter grow, become a grandmother, and celebrate milestones with my family that I might never have seen.
Not every family is as fortunate. Too many lives are lost simply because CPR was not started quickly enough, or an AED was not nearby. That's why Laura's Equip Every Heartbeat campaign matters so much. It's about ensuring every community has the training, the tools, and the confidence to save a life when seconds count.
