My husband and I tried to conceive for 17 years and on 12/20/2017, I delivered our healthy miracle baby at 35-1/2 weeks. 8 days postpartum I suffered a massive heart attack from a condition known as Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD). My left anterior descending artery also known as the widow-maker dissected. I had emergency open heart surgery (double bypass) and was in ICU then step down for a total of 13 days. I was fighting for my life trying to recover from open heart surgery, and battling pneumonia and a blood infection as well.
If I was pregnant when my SCAD occurred, my family was informed that my baby and I would likely not have made it. Believe me when I say miracles do happen. I am a true example and so is my son!
