At one month old our daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with a VSD on the muscle of her heart. As new parents just trying to navigate parenthood this was earth shattering news to us. 
At 5 months old Charlotte had open heart surgery to repair the hole and never looked back since.
 Charlotte never missed one milestone or one beat. She was always a happy baby and if you didn't know what she was going through, you would of never guessed it. She was our rock during the hardest times of our lives because with all the bad days, she would give us a smile and let us know it was ok. 

At such a young age our daughter had to fight for her life and we walk every year to honor and celebrate our warrior. She is brave and strong and we are in awe of her everyday.
