I'm participating in the Heart Walk to raise awareness of different heart issues & hopefully raise money to help fund groundbreaking research to help people who have heart related issues. I was diagnosed with AFIB in August of 2023 after having a surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital. I was lucky that I had wonderful doctors who were there to treat me & my heart issues right away. I'm also walking in memory of my poppy, my grandma, my mother-in-law, my husband's uncle & my best friend's parents who were like 2nd parents to me, who all had heart issues. My mother-in-law had an aortic valve replacement, my husband's uncle & my grandma both had pacemakers, my poppy passed from a heart attack & my best friend's parents both had strokes. I will be giving away the heart blanket featured on my page as the photo cover page by drawing a name from all those that make a donation to my page for the heart walk!
