The picture I'm using is a digitization of a painting my 19 yr old daughter, Emma, painted before my mom passed away 6 months ago. The daisy is my mom (it was her favorite flower) and the "Bobo Hydrangea" is my dad (his nickname was "Bobo"), and Emma imagined her grandmother ascending to heaven, supported by my dad. The point of the story is love, caring, empathy, and support.
I walk because I know that with every step, I’m making a difference in someone’s life. I think this is important. Helping people live their best lives is important. I am new to walking for the American Heart Association, but I can see doing this for many years to come. When my part is combined with a million other Heart Walk Heroes across the nation, we will have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease and stroke.
