Go Growth team! Let's see what we can do when we join together!
While I am not personally a "survivor" of heart disease, I have been a care giver and personally impacted by heart disease. My husband's first heart attack was at age 28, nine months after our wedding. I thank God for good medical support and their willingness to consider checking his heart even though he was so young. Thanks to God and a great team of doctors, nurses, and specialists here in Huntsville, AL, we have been happily and healthily married for over 26 years!
New testimony from August:
"On Friday, I sat with a friend at the hospital while her 18 year old daughter had heart surgery for arrhythmia. Even though they call it a “minor” procedure, it was stressful for us waiting. It was the kind of procedure that would only be successful if she experienced symptoms while in surgery. As we sat in the waiting room, about an hour into surgery, we prayed together for the symptoms to occur. Hours later, after the surgery was over, we learned from the doctor that he was beginning to wonder if they would occur and “it just showed up” around the same time we had prayed. God is faithful and God is good. I praise Him for hearing us and for caring for my friend. The surgery was a success and she is back in school today. Amazing!"
I have personally witnessed the benefit of new treatments and studies, the discovery of new medicines, and the advancement of technology. It is truly amazing what doctors can do these days to both treat and prevent heart disease!
Let's all go out and exercise our own hearts, and contribute to more research that will help others! Thanks for joining me!
