Wow this year is a Milestone Year. The AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION turns 100. Lets celebrate this huge milestone.
Another Milestone Year is I celebrate my 10th year as a Heart Transplant Recipient and the 10th year I will Walk in the HEART WALK.
With all of that said my goal this year is $10,000. Last year I raised over $7000, I know with your support we can get to my goal.
Heart Disease is so common that everyone knows someone who has it or has passed away from it. My family, on both sides have it. I have lost aunts and uncles from it. I lost my youngest brother several years ago from a heart attack. I almost lost my life to a number of heart attacks.
Annually, I gather essential funds for the American Heart Association, which are crucial for saving and enhancing lives both locally and globally. A significant portion of these funds will be allocated locally to:
• Ensure that cardiovascular patients in our hospitals receive the highest standard of care, informed by the latest research.
• Advocate for health-improving measures such as expanding Medicaid, protecting our children from nicotine addiction via tobacco or e-cigarettes, and creating safer environments for exercise and play.
• Educate our children on the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle.
• Instruct community members in the vital skill of CPR.
• Guarantee that individuals everywhere have access to the resources and opportunities necessary for a prolonged and healthy life.
