Joey is why!
Our Joey. Joey was full of life. He loved to laugh & have fun. Whenever there was a party or our usual Sunday family dinner, he was the first one there sitting in pop's chair and you ALWAYS saw a big smile on his face. You could always count on him for a good laugh, and we've had MANY with him. His family & friends were his world. Whether it be taking nonny and mom out shopping, taking his nephews out to lunch for their usual Saturday hang session, taking pictures of his nieces or making fun of the "pretty little trees" painted by Bob Ross, you always saw him smiling and you almost always caught that evil, contagious laugh of his.
On Mother's Day in 2014, Joey had a heart attack. After that he started exercising, quit smoking and changed his lifestyle. He was doing great! He went in for bypass surgery then following May. Unfortunately, in June of 2015, all of our lives changed. Joey lost his battle with cardiovascular disease. He was 42.
Not only did we lose our son, brother, uncle and friend...we lost our superman. Our Joey.
Please help us fight this horrible disease that takes the lives of so many innocent people. Please consider making a donation or help us raise money by joining our team.
Thank you from Team Joey D.
