Why I Walk
First, I walk to help give back the help the American Heart Association provided people like myself. I am a heart survivor. In 1999 I had surgery for an artificial aortic valve implant. I have known all my life that I would have need an artifical valve one day. I know that without all the research that the American Heart Association has done over the years, this would not have been possible.
Second, I walk for one of my coworkers and his dad that we all keep in our memory.
Third, this year I walk for my very dear friend, Mary Edholm, that I will miss until the end of time.
