Hello Family and Friends!
It's that time of year again and my family and I are walking in memory of my father, Wendell Tederson. On Saturday, May 1st, we'll be "walking where we are" and staying updated through social media and virtual experiences to celebrate the Watertown Heart Challenge campaign, a.k.a. Heart Walk.
Although its been11 years since my father passed, every Heart Walk has been special to our family because it gives us a meaningful way to honor him by continuing a tradition he started for all of us and that he enjoyed so much.
It's been 31 years since my father's sudden cardiac arrest and although it was one of the most frightening days of my life, it was also a day filled with miracles that saved his life.
Our family will forever be grateful to the two people who performed CPR that allowed our dad 19 more years to make wonderful memories with us, and we're equally grateful to the American Heart Association for funding the research that discovered CPR decades ago. CPR saves countless lives every year and continued research funded by the AHA is advancing medicine every day. We all benefit at some point, in some way, if not already.
Please join us in honoring our Dad by supporting this amazing cause. A donation of any size makes a difference. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!
