Hi, I'm William. Heart disease runs deep in my family, affecting both my mother's and father's sides. This personal connection drives me to participate in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk. I walk not only for myself but also for my family and friends, who have been touched by heart disease in various ways.
When I was a child, my grandfather struggled with severe heart issues. Witnessing his battle and the impact it had on our family left a lasting impression on me. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally. Nearly 47% of U.S. adults have high blood pressure, and more than 72% have an unhealthy weight. These statistics highlight the importance of raising awareness and funds to combat these conditions.
Every step I take is a step towards a healthier future for all of us. By raising awareness and funds, I hope to support research and initiatives that can prevent heart disease and improve the lives of those affected. Together, we can make a difference.
Join me in this journey to heart health. Let's walk together for a stronger, healthier community.
