Happy Heart month! 

We are participating in the 2025 AHA Heart Walk in June this year. 

Life is why. We are doing it for Calee, the people we love and take care of. We are raising awareness first and foremost and any funds raised will be used for critical research and education to one day create more opportunities for other patients in need to live longer, healthier lives. Calee was born with a congenital heart condition that was repaired at 6mo and sees a cardiologist regularly. She is happy, healthy, and thriving beyond any of our expectations. I also have the pleasure to serve the veterans at the VA as a nurse in cardiology daily. Chances are you know/love someone with a heart condition too.

Our group name is Calee's Crew and have decided to attempt to raise $600 ($100 for each year she is old, we kicked it off with our own donation). At the heart walk we will celebrate every advancement, be inspired, celebrate every survivor and honor those walking in honor of someone they loved. 

1 in 100 kids are born with a congenital heart defect, the most common type of birth defect.

Some in the US dies every 34 seconds due to cardiovascular disease (CVD) 80% is preventable
