As many of you know I retired in 2021 but I have decided to join my friends at Citi on the Heart Walk again this year. The Walk has always meant a lot to me and my family. Back in 1984, my brother suddenly died of a massage heart attack. He was only 36. We were away in Hawaii at the time and needed to suffer the long trip back to NJ to attend his funeral. This was not the first nor the last time our family endured such a tragedy. In the 60’s, my only Uncle, my father’s brother suddenly passed of a heart attach at the age of 38. More recently, my father in law passed of chronic heart failure. My boys were tweens at the time and very close to them. We all felt a big loss.
It is for the memory of these folks that I walk so that maybe medical breakthroughs can be found to prevent other families from feeling the same pain our family has has endured.
Please join me in the walk this year, or if you are unable to do so, please make a donation to me and my team, the Controllaholics.
Please act today as the registration deadline is only a few days away.
