You may not know that a former PS&H colleague, Dave Pellegrino, and his 18-year old son, Peter, are co-Chairs of the 2025 SNE Heart Walk. (I was the Chair last year, and stayed on to support Dave as part of the Executive Leadership Team).

 

Dave and Peter accepted this role because Peter had a heart attack in 2024.  It was completely unexpected, but he had completely recovered by the end of last year, which was a very uplifting story for the Walk.  Unfortunately, Peter has had additional cardiac events in recent months; he is now at Mass General and on the transplant list.

 

I am reaching out because Dave is a great person and colleague.  He didn't ask me to do this (and I didn't tell him), but I thought you all would want to know what he and his family are going through and would appreciate the opportunity to support him.
