I Walk to Save Lives!

I was originally introduced to the American Heart Association through a professional colleague over a decade ago.   At the time, I did not have a personal connection to the AHA or its mission.   Unfortunately, in 2015, I had a 30 year work colleague who died due to cardiovasular disease at the age of 48.   She left behind her husband and 2 young children.   She became my "Why" and is why I am so dedicated to the AHA cause!

I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking. Cardiac disease and stroke are two of the primary killers in Maine.  Working in healthcare, I see these diseases impact people and families daily and have now experienced personal contact with individuals affected by cardiovascular disease.
