We Walk to Save Lives!

On March 25, 2024, Lisa Welch had a stress test done and the results of that test required a catherization which showed major blockage in her arteries that would require a quadruple bypass surgery. Prior to this, Lisa had no knowledge that she had heart damage. She had been experiencing some lightheadedness and shortness of breath when climbing stairs, but no chest pains. Lisa had surgery on April 3, 2024 and two weeks later was able to go home. Lisa was home for 6 days and during this time became very weak. On April 23, 2024 she was brought by ambulance back to the hospital. Tragically, her heart stopped beating during the ambulance ride and upon arriving at the hospital the doctors tried desperately to revive her, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Those who knew Lisa can attest that she was a ray of sunshine, always offering a kind word and a loving gesture to anyone. She inspired many people with words of encouragement, and that inspiration will always live on in their hearts. Lisa would be very proud that we started this team in her memory, as she was all about helping others. Thank you!
