Life is Why! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
My grandfather and my father were both born on April 2, different years of course, but they shared the same birthday. On January 30, 1980, my grandfather suffered a massive heart attack and passed away. On January 30, 1999, my father had a heart attack, but his story didn’t end the same way.
My father recognized the signs, he went to the hospital, they did the blood work, heart catherization, and ultimately a triple bypass that saved his life. He was there to see my brother get married, he was there to walk his only daughter down the aisle, he has been there to meet his four grandchildren and be a valuable part of each of our lives. We have had 20+ additional years of beautiful family memories.
So, why do I support the American Heart Association each year? Because they provide education to recognize the signs of a heart attack and stroke. They fund research to develop tests, create equipment, and develop treatments to quickly save the people we love when these health crises occur.
I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking. My participation in Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. Please help me reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
