It is Heart Walk Time again! Many of you are familiar with TEAM ZACHARY and our participation in the American Heart Association's heart walk here in Charleston, WV for the past eighteen years.
Zachary was a survivor of three heart surgeries before he was 2 years old and, from that year on, he was an enthusiastic participant in this cause to end heart disease. Zachary lived life with appreciation and a grateful heart to God for each day!
Zachary is unable to walk with us because he went to be with Jesus shortly after his 14th birthday and now it is OUR HEARTS that ache.
Now, more than ever, we are convinced that education and a cure for heart disease is needed. More than ever, we wish we already had one. More than ever, we are walking and asking for support for the American Heart Association.
This year, in memory of Zachary, we are supporting Ava from the Ava-Vengers. Like Zachary, Ava had heart surgery as an infant and will require future surgeries. Ava was selected as a National Youth Heart Ambassador for the American Heart Association this year and we are thrilled to help her reach her goal.
