Coltan was born on June 13 2023 when he was born he stoped breathing so he had to go to the nicu and from there they put him on a vent and then they sent us to Columbus children's hospital. We was told coltan had Total anomalous pulmonary venous return (TAPVR) is a birth defect of the heart. So from there we had to come up with a plan they told us he couldn't live with the heart defect so our only option was surgery and it had to be open heart surgery well coltan done amazing he was eating great and they finally let us go home. We was home for a week so he had a follow up appointment and at the follow up appointment they told me he need to be admitted back in the hospital to be looked at that is when we found out he's body was rejecting the sutures so they had to take him back in to put a wound vac on him. We was in the hospital for a couple more months then finally he got to come home and meet all his family. Coltan today is one and is the sweetest most loving boy ever and nothing can stop him he keeps up with his big brother all the time and loves to play and just have fun.
