I'm excited to be participating in the American Heart Association Heart Walk with Hartford Hospital this year! It’s my first time joining the walk, and it holds a very special place in my heart—pun intended.
About 20 years ago, I battled a severe case of Lyme Disease that led to Lyme Carditis and neurological complications. After years of IV antibiotic treatments, I finally reached a stable place, but I still undergo annual echocardiograms due to lingering palpitations. In addition, I live with Lupus and Sjogren’s Syndrome, both of which increase my risk for heart disease.
Walking this year is not just about raising awareness—it’s personal. I’m walking for heart health, for resilience, and for everyone facing similar challenges.
If you’re able, please consider supporting my walk with a donation. Every dollar helps fund life-saving research, education, and advocacy efforts to fight heart disease and stroke.
Thank you for your support—it truly means the world to me!
