Landon’s Story: A Legacy of Music, Heart, and Hope
Landon Jeremiah Artis was a vibrant, compassionate, and musically gifted 16-year-old whose smile lit up every room he entered. A student, son, nephew, cousin, friend, and proud Chick-fil-A team member, Landon was known for his deep love of people, laughter, and music—especially his tuba, which became his voice and heartbeat.
In November 2025, Landon began feeling under the weather. What appeared to be symptoms of the flu or a common cold turned out to be something far more dangerous. Despite the prayers, hospital visits, and expert care, Landon passed away on January 30, 2025, due to a rare and often misdiagnosed heart condition called endocarditis—an infection of the inner lining of the heart.
Endocarditis often goes unnoticed until it’s too late. In Landon’s case, it silenced a life that was only just beginning.
But his story doesn’t end there.
In his memory, The Landon Jeremiah Artis Foundation was created to turn our pain into purpose. We are committed to:
- Raising awareness about endocarditis and other silent heart conditions
- Educating families and communities about early symptoms and screenings
- Awarding scholarships to students who share Landon’s passion for music and leadership
- Creating change through advocacy, volunteerism, and heart health outreach
Landon’s life was a melody of love, joy, and service. Through this foundation, we carry his song forward.

Join us as we walk, serve, and share his story—so that others may live.
Endocarditis is a preventable and treatable condition, but when left undetected, it can be fatal.
We walk to raise awareness.
We walk to inspire change.
We walk for Landon. ❤
