I'm walking in the Heart Walk because this cause is deeply personal to me. Years ago, I had to undergo open heart surgery at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. The American Heart Association stepped in and made it possible for doctors to fly in all the way from Germany to perform my surgery giving me a second chance at life.
I walk not just for myself, but for my husband who passed away from a Hemorrhagic stroke, my daddy who passed from heart disease and for every family touched by heart disease. Every dollar raised supports lifesaving research, medical breathroughs, and care for those who need it most.
