I'm Walking With Purpose
My father, Barry Boone, proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, the Philadelphia Sheriff's Department, and retired as a Lieutenant of the Philadelphia Fire Department. He passed away in May 2024 from a heart attack.
My dad lived with heart complications that he managed for years. But the passing of my sister, just six days before his own, ultimately caused his heart to fail.
Their loss is why I walk.
Did you know that 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital do not survive? In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But together, we can change this.
Cardiac arrests happen everywhere - at work, at home, on the field, and in our communities. The difference between life and death is often our readiness to act.
That's why I'm walking in the American Heart Association Heart Walk:
1)To honor my father's legacy.
2)To raise funds for lifesaving CPR training and heart research.
3)To help turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk for My Father. I Walk to Save Lives.
Please help me reach my goal today by donating to my campaign. Every dollar makes an impact.
