As many of you know, I suffered a Stroke in March 2005, from which I found out I had a heart defect. My PFO was surgically closed in 2023. In addition to myself, my mom has also suffered from strokes and the same heart defect and closure. My daughter lives life with POTS, a heart condition that took a few years to diagnose and affects so much of her daily life. My immediate family alone had 3 women affected by Heart Conditions!
Heart Health is so important, 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. ?
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. ?
