Andrew Maciey passed away very suddenly on November 20th, 2010, at the age of 24, from familial dilated cardiomyopathy. Andrew was an amazing son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend. He was smart, witty, kind, compassionate, caring, helpful and fun-loving. He had an unwavering passion for his Philadelphia sports teams, most especially the Eagles. He bled green and would have loved to see them win the Superbowl. Andrew was a graduate of Bishop Shannahan High School and the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
Andrew's legacy lives on in through his family and friends, as well as all the lives he impacted during his short time here with us. Since 2011 our family has been walking the Philadelphia Heart Walk in his memory and to help bring an end to heart disease. We walk to help other families whole and help people in the Philadelphia and surrounding communities to live longer, healthier lives. Please help support our mission!
The Round of a Lifetime Foundation was also created in Andrew’s memory. The ROAL Foundation gives individuals with congenital heart disease the opportunity to play a round of golf at a world-class golf course. Please check out ROAL today! Round Of A LIfetime
