8 to 10 out of 1,000 live births in the U.S. endure congenital heart disease (CHD). CHD is a term used to describe structural heart defects that are present at birth. The presence of congenital heart defects can place severe financial & emotional strain on families that care for CHD patients.
CHD often occurs due to unknown causes, although few genes have been linked to these structural defects. Life saving research has continued to provide better diagnostic & treatment options for these patients.
As a CHD survivor, please help me to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR & continuity of research to find better ways to save lives similar to mine. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
