September 16, 2024 marks the 15th anniversary of the passing of Professor George N. Parks. Professor Parks has done so much not only for the world of band. Each day we try to live by his starred thoughts and to keep the sense of community and belonging he worked so hard to create. His spirit will always live on through the traditions and spirit as the Power and Class of New England. We thank him today, as we do every day, for the band we hold so dear. My son met his wife through The Power and Class. I have another daughter as well as two granddaughters thanks to Umass band. Please give what you can because of George!
