We walk for our son, Luke, who was born with a congenital heart defect called Transposition of the Great Arteries. At just 3 days old, Luke underwent open-heart surgery ? a moment that changed our lives forever. Thanks to the incredible skill and compassion of the doctors and nurses who cared for him, Luke not only survived ? he?s now a thriving, energetic 7-year-old who fills our days with joy.
