Three years ago, I stood at the starting line of the Northern NJ Heart Walk wearing a bright red survivor's hat, surrounded by people who understood what it meant to fight for every heartbeat. That moment wasn't just the beginning of a walk -- it was the first time I felt part of a community bound by shared challenges, strength and hope.
Since then, I've led a team called Every Beat Counts to support the American Heart Association -- and this year, I would be honored if you joined me.
This cause is deeply personal to me. I was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a complex congenital heart defect. Over the years, I've had three open-heart surgeries -- and soon, I'll be undergoing my fourth. Every year, I've met survivors of all ages and backgrounds -- some still healing, others celebrating years of strength. They've inspired me to keep going through my own medical journey.
