Monday March 3rd 2025 our lives catastrophicly changed. We were crushed when Big Mike suffered a massive heart attack after coming home from work. It was a regular day and there were no warnings anything was wrong. CPR was performed immediately and he was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital in Newark. We spent the next excruciating 5 days hoping for a miracle that did not come. Mike gained his wings Saturday March 8th and our lives will never be the same.
We decided as a family to help Mike's name live on with support of the American Heart Association. We want his legacy to mean something. Assisting other families to hopefully avoid our experience and educate everyone about heart disease and allow them to continue to support communities teaching as many people CPR as possible as it will give many others a chance to save others in heart distress.
Mike was the absolute love of my life and I am grateful and honored he chose me to be his wife. We were together 37 years and married 32. I miss him tremendously every minute of every day. He was an amazing father to Mikey, Sam and Mae and an adoring Dedko to granddaughter Luna. I am thankful for every day we had with him and wished we could have had more.
