In March 2012, Aubrielle was five months old when diagnosed with Shone's complex. Shone's complex is comprised of five different abnormalities of the heart. This includes a bicuspid, aortic valve, sub, aortic membrane, narrowing or stenosis in the mitral valve and aortic valve and a PFO or hole in the heart. At five months old and at six years old, Aubrielle underwent heart surgery. Her first surgery was thoracic the second one was open heart. She continues to see children's cardiology every 6 to 12 months, be routinely tested and will have a lifelong journey of taking special care of her very special heart!
