Join Me for the AHA Heart Walk - In Honor, In Memory, and With Hope
Inspired by the incredible leadership of Armila & Angelo and the amazing team at Montefiore Wakefield's telemetry unit & Cardiovascular Testing Lab, Montefiore Wakefield & Mt. Vernon joined the AHA Heart Walk for the very first time - and it certainly won't be the last.
I'm walking in memory of my beloved Grandpa Cesar, who we lost last April, and my Grandma Bernie, who passed in 2019. Their strength and love continue to guide me every day.
Montefiore holds a special place in my heart. Thanks to a stress test that revealed a hidden issue - despite no chest pain - my grandmother received a life-saving quadruple bypass. That surgery gave her 14 more beautiful years with us.
This year, I was proud to learn that Montefiore is ranked #1 in the nation for cardiac transplant by U.S. News & World Report. What an honor to walk in support of a hospital that gave my family so much more time together.
Let's walk to celebrate survivors. Let's walk to honor those we've lost. Let's walk to raise critical funds for heart research, CPR education, and life-saving awareness.
