Hello everyone,
My name is John Bumbray, and I stand here today as a overcomer, a testament to the incredible power of God, support, and resilience. Last summer, I experienced a heart attack that turned my life upside down. I still remember the moment when everything changed; it was a time of uncertainty, confusion, and vulnerability.
The pain was sudden and intense, and it felt like my world was collapsing. In that critical moment, I realized how fragile life could be and how important it is to listen to our bodies. Fortunately, I received prompt medical attention and the care I needed to start my journey toward recovery.
Thru those moments, I found strength from the support of my family, friends, UMMS healthcare team and lots of prayer. Their encouragement and unwavering belief in my recovery gave me the courage to keep fighting, even on some of my toughest days.
The American Heart Walk is more than just an event for me; it represents a celebration of life, resilience, and the collective effort to end heart disease. Walking alongside so many of you?fellow survivors, supporters, and advocates?reminds me of the power of community. Each step we take together is a step towards a world where heart disease no longer holds us back.
On October 4th, I will walk not just for myself, but for all those who are still on their journey, and for those we have lost along the way. Every stride symbolizes our shared commitment to raising awareness, funding research, and providing support for those in need.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healtheir lives. This year, as we celebrate the Centennial of the American Heart Assocition, we will move health and well-being forward in important and critical ways. Let?s continue to walk with hope, with purpose, and with determination to make a difference.
Thank you for joining me on this journey, for walking with me, and for believing in the promise of a healthier future. Your presence here means the world to me and to countless others who are fighting their own battles.
In conclusion, I ask with a cheerful heart, can you help me reach my goal today..
