I walk in memory of my mother and father, both of whom lost their lives to heart disease. Their passing reminds me every day how fragile ? and precious ? our hearts truly are.
Heart disease doesn?t discriminate, but it remains the #1 killer of women, often striking without warning. Many women don?t realize that heart attack symptoms can be very different from men?s ? often showing up as shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness, unusual fatigue, or pain in the jaw, neck, or back rather than the classic chest pain. That?s why I?m passionate about raising awareness and encouraging women to listen to their bodies and prioritize their heart health.
Regular physical activity ? even simple daily walks ? can strengthen the heart, reduce stress, and help prevent heart disease. Saving and improving lives can be as simple as taking a walk. And I know I'm making a difference in the lives of others by participating in the Heart Walk.Every step I take is a step toward saving lives, spreading awareness, and honoring those we?ve lost too soon. â¤ï¸
