Hi! I’m an 8-year-old heart warrior and CHD survivor. When I was 2 months old, I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect (CHD) and congestive heart failure. At 4 months old, I had open-heart surgery that helped save my life. Because of incredible doctors, nurses, medical advances, and a lot of courage, I am a heart survivor.

I walk in the Heart Walk to raise awareness and funds for other heart warriors and families who are facing scary diagnoses, long hospital stays, surgeries, and lifelong checkups—just like I do. Every step I take is for the babies in the NICU, the kids recovering from surgery, and the parents praying in waiting rooms. 

I may have scars on my chest, but they remind me that I am strong. I am brave. I am built to beat strong.
