Say hello to my friend Christopher, the grandson of my dear friend Therese. Christopher was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. He underwent 2 open-heart surgeries during his first 9 months of life. Today, he is an active 5 year old and a Heart Superhero!
The American Heart Association's mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. I am passionate about the AHA's work because of my parents who passed away at the young ages of 72 and 79 from heart disease and Christopher, but more importantly, because of the critical work they do in education, advocacy, and research. Just ask Christopher's parents and grandparents!
Thank you in advance for your support.
Wishing you well-
Joan
