I walk for all of those who can't. I walk because my life and family has been rocked by heart disease.... has yours?

Those closest to me know how heart disease has impacted my life. Many of us have suffered the premature loss of someone we love due to heart disease. I lost my grandmother Gladys, she was 51 years old. I then watched my cousin Angel pass away in the same manner years later, he was 36 years old. This cause is so near & dear to my heart that I've devoted my entire nursing and now NP career to being a part of the solution. With that being said, I will be participating for the second year in an American Heart Association Heart Walk. In doing so, I hope to raise funds while bringing education and awareness to heart health. I will be walking in honor of Gladys & Angel, both taken way too soon by heart disease. I know that with every step, I am saving lives. We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. I believe, together - we can. Will you help me?
