I'm participating in the Heart Walk in honor of three very special people who were taken far too soon by heart disease - my dad, John, and two dear friends, brothers Tone and Damian.

Each of them had a huge presence, big hearts, and people who loved them deeply. My dad was a proud U.S. Marine, a jokester, and someone who believed in living strong and staying active. Tone and Damian were devoted fathers, brothers, and friends who brought light and love to everyone around them.

All three losses were sudden. All three were heartbreaking. And all three left behind loving families whose lives were forever changed. Damian leaves behind six children. Tone leaves behind four. My dad leaves behind two children and five grandchildren. These are not just statistics - they are stories, families, and futures that matter.

I walk to honor their lives.

I walk for their children.

I walk for the families still learning how to breathe through the grief.

I walk so that more awareness, more research, and more prevention can save lives.

This walk is for love.

This walk is for remembrance.

This walk is for hope.
